Actually, it was my friend Mika that started me singing.
 

He’s a musical doer he’s been in bands. He’s written songs. He’s been in music of the Rocky guitar variety since he was near high to a grasshopper basically. Mika play base and guitar and has taught himself how to use his computer and a home studio to create a home studio.

we started with his acoustic guitar and a battery powered mic recorder of some kind.
 not counting his instruments some that he’s made we now have a fistful of different microphones and hardware sound cards and a full size electronic organ that runs on the computer and the stuff.

fuck it I don’t really know all the details,.

I know I did a couple of awful cover versions of songs that we gave up very quickly and I realize that OK I could sing in the shower or when hammering on the steering wheel, but actually singing is a different thing altogether.

afterwards we find tuned our repertoire and found some songs that were closer to my capabilities,. some have been recorded, and I will upload them at some point, but they are pretty raw and rough to start to discover how to sing apparently.

 Then this springtime Mika came to me and said dude we’ve got to start writing stuff because I’ve written some music but we need your lyrics so you’ve got to do something about it.

 and sort of to this day. I’m still surprised at myself, but so far I have written the texts for three songs and have bits of stuff that I’ve written down that just came whenever whatever and it was random and it made no sense and but it was a trigger for something different.

 so for me what counts is we’re having fun the two of us, finding yourself outside of your comfort zone and finding how to get some comfort from that.
