So about a couple of years ago, I started singing. Somehow.
And now we form a 2 piece band doing our thing for the heck of it.
Behold us, the Knowing Believers.
My mail, if you feel inclined to need to send me a message, is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., just so you know ( or you believe, hahaha shitty pun)
There is a typical me stupid story behind the name. Daft is an adjective I self- identify with and I'm proud.
Also, starting a musical career at 48 (now 50) is a good way to avoid dying at 27. I'll let you know how that goes!
remember, this is how we all see life, thru a sort of weirdy filter that is us, physically and in our head/mind.
and what we see is a reflection of the actual picture, not the real thing(tm).
All our filters and directions of perception onto this reflection are unique, some similar and all diverse.
A weird reflection of reality, distorted and encapsulated within a spiral or roundabout.
Life and days are circles, repetitions, but we lack the dimension to perceive and realize the spiral nature of the roundabout we are on.
Not the same exact path - -each lap is different.
Not the same thing - this is your one-way trip towards your mortality.
How do we live with this in mind, without being morbid, but by keeping it as a fact and fatality ?
Mindfulness, in the now, is great but you can't stay in the 'now' all the time.
But we can try to be a good, if not the best, version of ourselves.
I say this and know full well that I fail very frequently at this. I'm able to keep a good outward face but i'm hard on myself. I don't always respect myself. Then again we are all flawed in our own beautifully poignant ways.
I know I am. but i try at least to see the beauty in the flaws and understand myself better. It's a journey and the destination is irrelevant - the fact we are on the journey is what counts.
a song about childhood suffering, from abuse by another child
Based on a True Story (tm).
Suffering and being a victim is a very common and misunderstood condition. It happens to most of us at some point in our life to be victim to somebody else to their malicious intent or desires.
It’s very strange how this song came about. A memory came to the forefront from an idea and a moment of my life, and the lyrics wrote themselves literally in a matter of hours.
I feel proud of this song: the actual words, chosen in order to keep and stay in rhythm, are also precise in their relevance of the overall experience.
